This solution covers and may possibly help fix Nokia 6700 slide with memory card not detected problem.
If the  device unable to detect any microSD memory card inserted, you may first try to clean the microSD card slot pins for possible oxidation build-up.

then refer to the solution above and then check the memory supply voltage and ground pins, then the memory detection switch. Ff all these three connection line paths seems okay, the possible problem lies on the Power Supply and Processor chips.
